To the One Who’s Searching... Without Knowing What For
I know what it feels like to carry an ache you can’t explain.
To feel empty even when your life looks full.
To chase everything that’s supposed to satisfy...
Money. Pleasure. Distraction. Image.
And still feel hollow.
It’s like eating food that fills your stomach, but leaves your soul starving.
I chased it all.
The pride. The buzz. The bank account.
I stood in the places that promised happiness,
and walked away more bitter, more tired, more alone.
There were moments I looked at Christianity
and all I saw were empty rituals.
Fake smiles.
Rules without love.
People clinging to a system... not walking with a Savior.
So I drifted.
Like a boat with no anchor, no direction,
and no idea why I was even rowing.
Why am I here?
Why doesn’t anything satisfy?
Why is everyone faking it?
And yet…
Christ was calling.
Not with a spotlight. Not with shame.
Just a quiet presence I couldn’t ignore forever.
I didn’t find faith because I had it all figured out.
I found it when everything else failed me.
When I finally stopped running,
He was still there.
For the first time,
I felt peace that didn’t fade.
Hope that didn’t depend on circumstances.
Purpose that couldn’t be bought, earned, or faked.
If that’s where you are...
confused, tired, skeptical, searching...
you’re not broken. You’re not lost. You’re on the edge of something real.
And if you take a step toward Jesus,
He’ll meet you there.
He did for me.
